“This is a most surprising hotel in a most enchanting village set deep in Rioja country in Northern Spain. The hotel’s wonderful owner and host, Monica, could not have gone to greater lengths to ensure our stay was perfect! As was the delicious dinner at the hotel restaurant (not to mention the Rioja Monica helped me to choose!) Now to the hotel itself, which is a charming and clever combination of old and new. The balance is just right, achieving a sophisticated but authentic feel. I stayed with my two children in one of the family rooms - it was huge, stylish, comfortable and had a wonderful en suite - even the bath products were divine!! I definitely hope to visit Monica at her fabulous hotel again one day”

“Casa Grande is an Amazing place to stay for tourists and pilgrims alike. The building is recently renovated with a modern style - it is beautiful and incredibly stylish. Every detail in your room is so delicately designed and decorated that, as someone who has travel around the world, I can tell you it’s much better than many of the 5 star hotels in New York, Hong Kong etc. I stayed as a pilgrim and they do offer massage services for help you recover (I didn’t get one but you can!). Their dinner is also fantastic, best meal I had on my pilgrim journey. Overall 10/10!! I also had a conversation with the owner Monica, she runs this place with heart ! Thank you Monica for such a good place!”

“After 11 straight days walking the Camino we had decided we needed a rest day and this amazing hotel was in the village we had decided to stop at. It was an amazing afternoon and evening of luxury. We caught up on sleep in the most comfy bed. Wallowed in the luxury of an en-suite bathroom and spacious bedroom all beautifully decorated. The evening meal was another real treat. The staff were all lovely. It cost less than €100 for the stay and was worth every cent to rest and recuperate. Thank you”

“If you are looking to treat yourself after 10 days on the Camino and 200+km you can’t go past the Casa Grande Hotel. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well presented. The service is outstanding. If you are lucky enough to be hosted by Monica then your stay is guaranteed to be an a 11 out of 10. Thanks so much for making 2 weary and hot pilgrims very welcome and relaxed, shame we could only stay one night but the trail calls.”
